Blast Off! An interactive playscape designed for children aged 5 & under to inspire their imagination and encourage a curiosity about space and our place in it.
Working closely with the exhibitions team at Perth Museum we designed a series of large scale murals to adorn the walls, created a magnetic chalk board with bespoke star magnets and designed a bespoke rocket which was manufactured by soft play specialists Playzest. We also worked with our budget to source off the shelf items such as bean bags and dressing up costumes that would compliment our bold, colourful designs, helping to make the space feel out of this world!
“As a mother and self-confessed ‘big kid’ it’s been a fantastic project to be involved in. Outer space is such an inspiring theme to work with and we’ve tried to encourage children's natural curiosity by creating an experiential learning environment that combines education with play. I’ve loved transforming the gallery and I hope everyone who comes to visit, enjoys the playscape as much as I’ve enjoyed designing it!”
