Culture Perth & Kinross banners
FMG was commissioned by Culture Perth & Kinross to design a series of bold & bright banners to be displayed on key cultural venues around the city of Perth over the Summer of 2016.
The aim of the project was to highlight the unique buildings and their services whilst challenging the austerity of the buildings' exteriors, showing these venues to be fun, welcoming, creative spaces.
The designs for the banners were inspired by pictures created by children & adults at our paper collage workshops held in the venues earlier in the Summer.
The first stage of the project saw banners wrap the entrance columns at the AK Bell Library. Each banner promoting the resources inside - Children’s library, lending library, cafe, family & local history archives.
The second stage was to wrap the banners on the Marshall monument at the Perth Museum & Art Gallery. Each banner focuses on a different aspect of the building and its collections.
